Songwriter

Dan’s life passion is songwriting.  Just as he enjoys listening to all styles of music, his compositions span several genres.   Dan started his first band at the age of 12 and wrote his first song that same year.   He studied music at the University of Toledo majoring in string bass.  After college, he taught guitar at the prestigious Sam Martinez School of Classical Guitar and performed with Blues Folk Revival and The Sam Martinez Trio. 

In 1975, he moved to the beauty of Arizona, performing locally with blues harmonic great Bill Tarsha.   He gathers inspiration traveling with Median between their homes in Scottsdale, AZ, the mountains of Pine, AZ, the beaches of sunny Puerto Penasco, Mexico, and visiting family in Indian Rocks Beach, Florida.
